How to Become a Notary?
Each state is different in its requirements to become a Notary Public. Some states have a very simple process which requires a form to be completed, a small fee of approximately $25.00 to be paid and a bond to be purchased. Whereas other states it is very difficult to become a Notary Public, you may need to take a course and take very difficult tests with passing rates as low as 5% and the cost can be higher, closer to $1,000 - $1500 or even more.
The Secretary of State in each State usually has a Notary Division in which they govern the requirements for that state.
